We are accustomed to thinking of events, including ourselves, as conditioned and created by the past. We have the evidence from materialist science to confirm that everything has a pre-existing cause. However we often forget that post-materialist science affirms an equal and opposite dynamic: in addition to being pushed by the past, we are also pulled by the future.
Witness the results of the double-slit experiment in nuclear physics, as explained in the video above. If you watch until the end of the video, you will understand that this experiment proves retro-causality, meaning that events in the future can create effects in the past. For example, if a particle is measured after having passed through a double slit partition, the very measurement decides which slit the particle passed through in the past. In the absence of the future measurement the particle behaved in one particular way, but after the measurement in the future, the particle in the past behaved differently. In other words, the particle was being pulled by the future, not merely pushed by the past.
